Of French nationality Jocelyn Adam is a graduate of Crawford College of Art and Design where he was awarded a residency in the ceramic department for 2015-2016.
His work is inspired by contemporary architecture and engineering. It is through the process of slab-building and the concurrent use of clay and other building materials that his sculptures recall the spirit of contemporary architecture.
He is fascinated by the notion of equilibrium present not only in architecture but in life. The mix of materials reflects the hybrid nature of society and the quest for harmony and balance.
