Dervla Baker
Dervla Baker is an artist, film-maker and photographer based in Cork. She received a B.A. Honours Degree in Fine Art from the Crawford College of Art and Design in 2013. In March 2017, she completed a Level 7 course in Digital Photography at the Crawford College of Art and Design, during which the work in this show was initiated and developed. Last year, her work was featured in a number of shows including; Th' Whole World is in a Terrible State of Chassis, Platform Arts Centre, Belfast, 6th to 20th of April 2017, Ampersand Union at the Village Hall, Cork, Sept 6th 2016; Cork Photo Festival 2016 at the Cricket Club, Cork, July 1st - 31st 2016; Supervalueless at Kfest 2016, Kilorglin, Co. Kerry, June 3rd to 6th 2016. In 2015, Baker started her own business as a freelance film-maker and photographer, documenting primarily artistic events, festivals and exhibitions. Recent projects include; CCA Derry's Scissors Cut Paper Wrap Stone, West Cork Arts Centre, Skibbereen, Jan – Feb 2017; and Engage Arts Festival Sept 2016 and 2015, Bandon, Cork.
