Jean Philippe Levillain is a French artist who graduated from the Crawford College of art and design in 2015. He is one of the founders and managing directors of the studios. During this time in college, he specialised in ceramics, a medium that was introduced to him while attending the 2 years course at Thomastown College of Craft and Design in Co. Kilkenny in 2012. He was also introduced to glass when selected for 2 months residency in Shanghai University of Art in 2014.

His practice focuses on the elasticity and the strength of the clay, which he stretches to its limit, giving it a fabric-like look. His work represents his philosophical view on what mankind is going through: the conflict between the 'ego' and the 'self'.
