Caireann Browne

Caireann's work is very much influenced by what’s found underground. She hand-digs her clay from deep inside a cave in the Burren in Co. Clare. The clay is formed from the deposits of melted glaciars over several ice ages, making it millions of years old. The artist's designs and glazes are inspired by natural formations and phenomena found within the cave.

Caireann Browne was born in 1983 in Doolin, Co. Clare. In 2005 she graduated from LSAD with a BA honours degree in Fine Art. Caireann also worked in the studios with Colm De Ris and Radek Zemlicka.
